My name is Dawn Hart and I am a ceramic, interdisciplinary artist and educator living and working in Central California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

My artwork can take many forms and incorporates many medias including clay, paper, fiber, photography and mixed media. I work out of my home studio in North Fork (the exact center of California) and am a member of Scarab Creative Arts in Fresno. I am a full time art instructor at Clovis Community College. My practice often involves research, investigation and collecting, time spent on site and in the studio.

My work speaks about the natural environment around me that includes a particular fascination with trees and connection. Being in nature, and exploring new places is an integral part of my work.
